ABOUT THE “CHAIN LOAD CELL SYSTEM”

The ‘CHAIN LOAD CELL SYSTEM’ is a simple and versatile scale that is suitable for most forklifts, reach trucks, stock
pickers and side loaders.

The system is capable of sensing weight with an amazing ±0.5% accuracy of machine capacity. This information is displayed on your choice of indicator:

- Safe Weigh Indicator - our entry level digital indicator with basic functionality
- Weight Master Totaliser - our premium digital indicator with numerous functions such as add in, subtract out, total
and auto add

With this scale fitted to your machines, the operator
can get an instant weight reading of any lifted load,meaning no need to deviate from their working path to weigh loads on a platform scale or weighbridge.

The ‘Chain Sensor System’ is compatible with a range of peripheral devices such as printers and safety devices including alarms and lock-out devices to help improve safe operation in the workplace.

HOW THE CHAIN LOAD CELL SYSTEM WORKS

The ‘Chain Sensor System’ load cell is fitted as a replacement link in the lifting chains of the forklift. When a load is lifted, the load cell senses the tension in the chain and sends data to the indicator mounted near the controls. A weight reading is then displayed on the indicator for the operator to view.

This system can be paired with either a “Safe Weigh” indicator or a “Weight Master Totaliser” indicator.

PRINTER AND ALARM OPTIONS
AWE offers a range of additional accessories which can be paired with the Safe Weigh instrument. These accessories help customise your scale to better suit your workplace applications. Our safety accessories are a great solution to prevent machinery overloading by operators - an event which can have serious consequences to machinery and operators.

Blue Tongue 2.0 Printer
Produce hard copies of your weight readings with this compact printer. Comes with a swivel mount allowing easy
mounting in your cabin. It ishardwired to your machine so no need to ever change batteries.

Hydraulic Bypass
The ultimate safeguard against overloading you forklift. When a lifted load exceeds the forklifts capacity, the forklift will stop lifting - only allowing the load to be lowered. The capacity ratings are adjusted based on load centre principles.

Red Light / Overload Alarm
A red light and/or audible alarm can be fitted to your scale as an extra safety device. These features are activated when the forklift exceeds the safe working load to alert an operator.
